New Year new beginnings

Last week of holidays before back to work. Here I am procrastinating about what to do. Feeling lazy at the moment as I have heaps of things to do but not sure where to start. I have set my goals this year:

  • Spend more time on my blog
  • Continue writing for WeekendNotes.com
  • Paint more paintings
  • Fitness- my goal is to enter the Gold Coast Marathon in the 5.7 km or 10 km run event

Well it is raining today, but I did get off my backside this morning and ran up and down the stairs 10 times (17 stairs up my younger son tells me) and that is no easy feat for an incredibly unfit me.

I must admit I am enjoying getting out running and walking each morning, more walking at this stage. My dog is not happy with me though as I sometimes leave her behind. She is a little Moodle and is more into sniffing, weeing and socialising!  I do though try to take her for a walk in the afternoon.

My youngest has decided he will have a go to but being school holidays and a teenager he doesn't want to get out of bed at dawn!  I have managed to get him and the family to the beach a number of times over the holidays. which has been fantastic.  Best place to swim and chill out.

It has indeed been a relaxing holiday at home this year and there is nothing better than spending time with family and friends.

I hope I have inspired you to set your goals. Check out the Gold Coast Marathon website-  there are some great tips and points and hey - you have until July to train.

Would love to hear about your goals too!

Happy New Year to you.
